The Myth of the “Perfect Time” to Start

Struggling to start a workout routine because life keeps getting in the way? You’re not alone. This post dives into the common mindset traps that keep busy women from prioritizing their health and offers real, sustainable strategies for building strength, staying consistent, and making workouts a non-negotiable part of your routine—no matter how full your schedule is.

Does this sound familiar?

👉 You want to start a workout routine, but you’re so busy trying to figure out the perfect time to begin that it just… never happens?

👉 Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and you’re still stuck in the same place—wanting to feel better, stronger, healthier, but unsure how to actually get there?

👉 Maybe you’ve started (and stopped) more times than you can count, and you’re too frustrated to believe this time will be any different?

If this is you—know that you’re not alone. And it doesn’t have to stay this way.

As a mom of five, I get it on every level. There is always something else to do—laundry, work, meals, school events, errands. And even though I own a gym, that doesn’t automatically make it easier. I still have to fight for that time, just like everyone else.

For years, I coached other women to take control of their health while putting my own goals on the back burner. I was undernourished, overtired, and honestly? I felt like a fraud. How could I tell other women to prioritize themselves when I wasn’t doing it?

What finally changed?

I hired a coach. I made a plan. I stopped trying to find the perfect time and just committed to the messy, imperfect, real-life version of consistency.

That didn’t mean working out 6 or 7 days a week. That didn’t mean 5am alarms or two-a-days. It meant carving out time—even if it was 8pm after my last client—to move, lift, sweat, and recharge. It meant making my health non-negotiable, not because I had extra time, but because I didn’t.

And guess what? It worked.

I got stronger. I felt more confident. I began to trust my body again. I made progress I could actually see and feel—not because I found a magic solution, but because I made it sustainable.
