Her Strength at Home: New Mama Strength 8 Week Program

Part of our Her Strength: at-Home Workout Series, this awesome 8-week program can be done from the comfort of your own home! Our New Mama Strength program is appropriate for moms who are approximately 3-9 months postpartum. We strongly suggest our Early Postpartum Class as a prerequisite if you are less than 6 months postpartum.

The goals of this program include...

  • increase awareness, connection and strength within the deep core and pelvic floor system

  • rebuild pelvic stability through single leg and unilateral (one sided) movements

  • develop strength, endurance, and range of motion through functional movements (squat, hinge, press, push, pull, carry, etc.)

  • Integrate functional mobility and therapeutic stretching

  • Slowly build up to low impact and high impact movement and conditioning

Required equipment**:

  • yoga mat

  • stability ball (large)

  • 1-2 weights (kettlebell(s) 6-12kg or dumbbell(s) 10-20lbs)

  • small looped resistance band (approx. 8-12” in length)

**Note: If you need any of these equipment items, we have a partnership with Perform Better, an excellent fitness equipment company in Rhode Island, that can provide these for you if needed.

You can expect:

  • 3 workouts per week for 8 weeks. The program will include all major movement patterns complete with our own demonstration videos, detailed descriptions and supplemental exercises (breathing patterns, core work, accessory muscles) to support consistent progress throughout the program. Mobility and stretching as well as a slow build up to high intensity movement intervals for conditioning will also be included.

  • All workouts are delivered via TrueCoach, a user-friendly app.

  • Once the program is purchased, you will receive an email within 12 hours of purchase to activate your TrueCoach account.

  • Unless otherwise requested, workouts will be delivered Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
