6th Annual Swingathon

Join Us for a Swinging Good Time to Support the Joy Us Foundation! 🌟 On November 9th at 10 AM, we’ll be swinging our kettlebells to raise funds for the Joy Us Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to restoring joy and serenity in the lives of cancer patients, survivors, and their families through FREE outdoor excursions. Together, we are stronger than cancer and are changing the face of cancer survivorship! 

The event kicks off with a coach-led warm-up, followed by an hour of fun where we’ll perform 10 kettlebell swings each minute. It’s a fantastic way to come together as a community, get active, and support a truly worthy cause.

Workshop: Kettlebell 201, Barbell 301, COMBO—Albany, NY, USA

Learn from the BEST to be the best ✨ We are thrilled to welcome back Dr. Michael Hartle of @strongfirst and @adv.strengthspeedstrategies to Her Strength on Sunday, May 5, to teach TWO StrongFirst workshops.

KETTLEBELL 201: the morning workshop will be Kettlebell 201, where you’ll learn the kettlebell press, the clean and the snatch! This is an intermediate level, so your skills should already include the kettlebell swing, get-up and goblet squat.

BARBELL 301: the afternoon workshop will be Barbell 301, which will teach the barbell back squat, front squat and good morning. To attend, your skills should already include the barbell deadlift, the military press and the bench press.

Each workshop will be 4 hours and tickets will be sold separately on a first come first serve basis.

ALL are welcome including non-members of Her Strength and men!

Dr. Hartle is a Doctor of Chiropractic, a StrongFirst Master Instructor, and the co-author of the StrongFirst Lifter (SFL) Barbell certification course. A nationally-ranked powerlifter, who has won several national titles with USA Powerlifting (USAPL), Dr Hartle is also the former Vice President of USAPL and Chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee.

We are so excited to be hosting Dr. Hartle from Indiana for the second time (the first was May 2022) and encourage all our kettlebell and barbell enthusiasts to take part in these workshops! 🏋️‍♀️

Ladies, we are SO excited to host our FIRST bi-annual Community Day on Saturday, March 23rd, from 8AM-11AM! 

This will be an amazing opportunity to mingle with the other members of our community who you may not have had the chance to meet. We will have refreshments, retail, raffles, and even some surprises that you must be present to experience! Our class schedule will be held as usual, so make sure you snag a space before they run out. If Saturday is a rest day for you, please still come along for snacks and surprises!
